Minimum orders.
Our minimum order quantity is dependent on how many colours are in your design, but varies from 20 to 250. We offer a sampling service for smaller quantities, so please enquire for details.
Screen Set-up.
Screens are charged at £28 for up to A3 size and £40 for up to A2 size. A screen is required for each colour and/or each size you would like it printed.
If you want to print a light colour onto darker coloured garments, this will often require an additional screen. This “underbase” is printed underneath your artwork to make the colours stand out and will count as an extra colour.
We keep our screens for 2 months, so after this time a reset fee will apply.
Printing Techniques / Ink.
We offer discharge and water-based printing, as well as more traditional plastisol based printing.
Water based inks are more environmentally friendly and have a softer “hand” feel. Discharge printing is a method of printing where the original dye of the shirt is bleached out, generally used on black and darker coloured garments. (Some colours do not lend themselves to this process). Discharge printed garments have the softest “hand” feel after washing. If you are interested in this type of printing, please let us know and we will advise if this method is suitable on the garment base you have selected.
Fifth Column also use some other specialist print techniques and are on hand to help and advise you if you are looking for something specific.
Garments.
We are award winning printers for some of the most prestigious brands in the world. And can supply garments to suit all budgets. Plus, help you choose the best option depending on your requirements. We also specialise in the use of 100% organic cotton (GOTS certified) for a more environmentally friendly option.
Personalised Finishes.
Whether you require relabelling, inside neck prints, individual folding and bagging or attaching swing tags to your garments, we can provide many other finishing touches and services. We are on hand to advise you if you are looking for something specific. You can supply woven labels/swing tags yourself, or we can source them for you. Please enquire for details.
Artwork/File Format.
We accept most formats: JPG, AI, EPS, PDF, PSD and TIFF files etc. Vector files are preferable, but artwork must be at least 300dpi and the size of your print.
Lead Times.
Turnaround is normally between 7-10 working days from the point of payment and order confirmation subject to stock availability. Urgent orders may be processed quicker. But please check with our team to discuss any specific requirements. Personalised finishes may add additional time to the order.
Prices.
We’re committed to bringing our customers the very best products and service at the lowest possible rates. We don’t compromise on quality, but if you receive a cheaper quote, please let us know and we will do best to match or beat it.
